Scheduling heating maintenance, getting the de-icing equipment set up, etc. One thing that many people tend to forget about, though, is taking steps to prevent their pipes from freezing. Frozen pipes can cause quite a few issues, up to and including requiring that the pipes be replaced entirely. Furnace Issues You Should Be Careful Of This Heating Season

furnaceThe more you rely on your furnace to keep warm this heating season, the more strain you’re going to put on the system. More strain means a higher chance of problems occurring within the furnace. We’re not saying that you should freeze instead of putting more demand on your furnace. We’re just saying that you should be aware of the added risk involved with using your furnace more often. For the duration of heating season, it’s a good idea to keep a closer watch on your system to make sure that you can catch malfunctions early.
